For any mom or birthing person in the Rockland / South Shore / Greater Boston area navigating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, you truly cannot find a more supportive, compassionate, and skilled team of therapists and care providers along with an amazing community of other moms. I had never been to any kind of therapy before, but after my second daughter was born I knew I needed help with anxiety that started during pregnancy and then heightened postpartum. Even though I work in postpartum care myself, I was struggling in ways I couldn’t manage alone. I knew this place was special right away when I reached out to get more information over the weekend and Kate, one of the founders, called me the very next day. In a world where you can’t get health providers to call you back, Root & Rise actually listens. They hear you. They show up. I commuted from Canton to Rockland, and at first I worried it would be hard with a 6-week-old — but it was honestly easy. The traffic was fine, and once I started, it became part of my daughter’s and my routine. That alone helped ground my anxiety. The program was three days a week for three hours, and initially I hesitated — it felt like a big commitment. But it became the most stabilizing part of my week. Over the two months I attended, the transformation I experienced was incredible. The group sessions, the practical tools, coping skills, and nervous-system practices, and the weekly 1:1 time with Ani were life-changing. The option to attend virtually on days when I had appointments or needed to drop off my older child was incredibly helpful — though I preferred being in person. They even have an infant room where your baby can safely sleep and play along with caring staff while you’re in a session, if desired. That level of support is rare and deeply needed. While I wouldn’t wish this on anyone — if you find yourself in it, please, please go to Root & Rise. They can change your life as you navigate the ups and downs of motherhood. I am in such a better place now, and I am endlessly grateful for every person, mom, and baby that I met along that way. Thank you, from the bottom of me heart, Root and Rise.Posted on Bethany HTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Root and Rise was an absolute godsend. I developed postpartum anxiety and depression and was struggling so much. I thought my only option was to check myself in to an inpatient program, but I was terrified of the thought of being away from my family. Root and Rise got me the help I needed without separating me from my baby. The community there was fantastic. I’m now feeling great but am forever indebted to this wonderful place.Posted on Liz FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rophe is amazing! The care, compassion, and expertise of the team are unmatched. Each counselor brings so much knowledge and support. From pulling rocking chairs into the group room to support moms while they feed their babies to blowing up exercise balls for the moms who are more comfortable swaying or bouncing while we chat- the care from each member of the team is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Each one of them goes above and beyond to make sure that we are all comfortable. The clinical director and each member of the clinical team are truly the most insightful and intelligent professionals I’ve ever met—not only leading groups with thought-provoking topics and resources, but also sharing incredible book recommendations that stick with me long after. What makes Root & Rise even more special is the way it’s designed for moms. They provide a nursery and wonderful doulas to care for babies during group sessions, which allows us the space to focus on our healing while knowing our little ones are safe and cared for. This program has exceeded every expectation I had and has been life-changing for me. I cannot recommend it enough to any perinatal or postpartum mom who needs support.Posted on The 3Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been a postpartum doula for years, and Root + Rise Perinatal Health is truly one of a kind. I’ve had the opportunity to visit the space multiple times, meet the amazing clinicians, and see firsthand the heart behind this work. I recommend Root + Rise to all of my clients and colleagues. The team is professional, compassionate, and deeply committed to supporting families. The space itself is instantly calming and welcoming — exactly what new parents need during such a vulnerable and transformative time. I know I would have loved to have access to a place like this after the births of my own boys. Root + Rise is filling such an important gap in care, and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.Posted on Ashley LTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a first-time mom navigating PPA, I can’t express how grateful I am that Root and Rise exists. They have truly been a lifeline for me during such a vulnerable season. Having a space designed specifically for moms in pregnancy and postpartum is nothing short of a blessing. From the moment you walk in, every one there makes you feel welcomed, supported, and truly seen. I’ve attended both group and individual therapy, and I love that I can bring my baby along with me. There’s also the sweetest nursery space if you’d like your little one cared for while you focus on yourself. Root and Rise has been such a game changer in my journey! I would highly, highly recommend it to any mom looking for a safe, supportive community.Posted on Lisa STrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
